About me…

I’m Kia Marie Hunt: writer, illustrator, linguist, culture enthusiast, all-round creative, and lover of travel. I recently graduated (as Student of the Year!) in B.A. Hispanic Studies from the University of Birmingham.

During my degree I spent the most marvellous year abroad in South America (Uruguay and Brazil)!

One of my biggest passions is language. At the moment, I study Spanish, Portuguese, and a little Italian, but in the future, I hope to learn Polish, Russian, and British Sign Language too!

My dream career would be to work in travel writing and/or illustration. In other words travel the world- experience different cultures- meet new people- speak foreign languages with them- write about it- create art inspired by it- and get paid for it…I know, that’s why I said ‘dream’ career!

What is Aspire to Amble?

    1. Hi Rosie, thank you so much for your lovely comment, I’m so glad you discovered my blog as it allowed me to discover yours! 1. It’s been really interesting reading all about your time in South America – especially as most year abroad posts I see are Europe-centred! No time limit whatsoever, it took me a couple of weeks to get round to posting mine! Look forward to reading your post in due course 🙂
